Dive & Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef

If you do not wish to dive, then snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef is just as much fun and you still get to see all the vibrant colours and marine life in warm clear water.

Most people find snorkeling an exhilerating experience and requires very little training. The ability to swim and reasonable level of fitness is all that is required.

For those who are a little nervous in the water, most companies offer floatation devices and guided snorkel tours.

You may also do snorkeling on any of the liveaboard trips and usually this costs a little less then the diving price.

• Liveaboard trips

You may choose to book on as a snorkeler and book some introductory dives on board - please be aware though that there are limited number of dive spots and there is no guarantee you will be able to dive if you have not pre booked.
If you definately want to try diving, be sure to pre book at least one dive.
